Park River Independence Day!
We hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July festivities last week - we sure did! We closed our stores so that everyone can celebrate with their families (who wants to work on a great lake weekend like that?) - but Park River hosts a celebration and our Park River store couldn't pass on that! Our Park River team was so excited to share this first holiday with the community!
Park River really knows how to celebrate. First we spent the weekend celebrating Canada Day, and then Monday and Tuesday we celebrated the 4th of July! Park River was celebrating high school reunions and hosted a street dance on Monday, so we stayed open late to caffeinate and prepare the community. We made Hotdogs, brats, chips, pizza, lemonade, rootbeer floats, and cold brew floats outside the main coffee shop in a cute little tent. Then, we closed up shop (we wanted to enjoy the street dance too)!
For the parade the next morning, our shop was amazed at the turnout from the community! Melissa and Karli set up the tent outside (some people put out their parade chairs at 5am - way before we were awake, ha! If you were around, you probably saw Sandi and Nora running around and loving the community events- Nora was the one catching all the candy (I think she also made more than one stop at the ice cream truck)!
Thanks to the Park River community for allowing us to celebrate with you. We had a blast, and can’t wait until next year!
